In the city of Riga - all trolleybuses, buses and trams (except trams N.5 and 7) are accessible to people in wheelchairs.

How to pay for public transport?
Both Riga and intercity transport (except taxi) is free for people with disability groups: I and II. Document about your disability group must be shown to the driver upon boarding.
For people of the IIIrd group of disability - public transport is free in Riga, if you declared your address in Riga.
Trains
The passenger train is inaccessible to people in wheelchairs and other disabilities (except for stations Rīga, Krustpils, Rēzeknes, Daugavpils, Jelgava, Saulkrasti, Sigulda, Dubulti, Vaivari).
Assistance on the train must be requested 36 hours before the start of the journey by free number 80021181 or electronically https://www.pv.lv/lv/informacija-pasazieriem/pasazieriem-ar-ipasam-vajadzibam/ . Travel by train is free for people of disability groups I and II. Document about your disability group must be shown at the ticket counter.
Special parking card
People with a Ist group of disability and children with disabilities can receive a Special Parking Card. This card gives the right to leave the car in a specially marked special parking lot and use Riga traffic parking lots for free. Cards can be received at the Road Traffic Safety Directorate. If a person with a disability needs social assistance, social rehabilitation or any social services you should contact the nearest social assistance service.
Medical treatment
To receive healthcare services in Latvia, people from Ukraine must be registered with the family doctor. Outside the working hours of a family doctor, you can get a consultation by phone from the on-call doctor - the consultation phone +371 66016001 - it is a medical advice line that provides medical consultations outside the working hours of family doctors. In cases when a doctor's consultation is urgently needed, SUSTENTO in cooperation with Riga 1st Hospital can help to provide a specialist consultation. The consultation will be free of charge. Medical assistance for children with disabilities is provided by the Children's Clinical University Hospital (address Vienibas gatve 45, Riga). To register a child with a doctor, you must call +371 25680140.
The Children's Clinical University Hospital Fund can help provide free transportation and medications.

Technical aids
Every person with a disability in Latvia is entitled to assistive technology devices. They are provided free of charge. People with disabilities from Ukraine can also receive these aids by receiving a referral from a family doctor and consulting at the Technical Aids Center.
